‘Mock’ Skor Bar

‘Mock’ Skor Bar

Ingredients:
Saltine Crackers (Premium Plus - salted or unsalted)
1 cup butter
¾ cup brown sugar
1 ½ cups chocolate chips
Topping of choice (Candy cane, pecans, skor toffee pieces, etc.)

Steps:
Pre-heat oven to 375°
Cover a cookie sheet with a layer of tin foil
Layer the cookie sheet with saltine crackers
In a saucepan, melt the butter, and add the brown sugar.
Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and boil for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Pour the mixture over the crackers and spread evenly.
Bake in the oven for 5 minutes
Take out of the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips. (The base will be ‘bubbly’, but not to worry!)
Cover with another cookie sheet (or something else) to keep the heat in, and let the chocolate melt for 5 minutes.
Spread the chocolate out over the base.
Sprinkle with your topping of choice - or leave plain!
Cool in the freezer until chocolate hardens, and then cut or break up into pieces!
